The Double Active Safety Design built into this 12V 200Ah Pro LiFePO4 Battery consists of 60+ Battery Management System (BMS) protection and active backup protection. They combine to prevent hazards incurred by electrical and other types of abuse before inviting great dangers to you and your system's safety.
6.What is the active backup protection?
For the first time, Renogy introduces Active Backup Protection into the safety design of the deep-cycle LiFePO4 battery to act fast in response to potential risks. And the newly integrated self-control fuses contribute to that efficiency. Unlike conventional fuses which take longer time to work, the Active Backup Protection can be provided instantly against overvoltage and overheating even if other key hardware components break.

8.What are the installation requirements for the battery?
●The battery installation environment is clean, cool, and well-ventilated. Keep the battery away from oil and dirt. The accumulation of these substances can cause current leakage, resulting in self-discharge and a possible short circuit.
●Safe operation requires environment temperatures between -4℉-140℉ (-20℃-60℃). The recommended operating environment temperature range is 59°F (15°C) to 86°F (30°C);
●At the same time, the battery can be installed on its side or vertically. It should not be stacked or placed upside down.
9.How can the battery be connected?
The battery can only be connected in parallel (up to 8).
10.Can the battery communicate with the DC Home APP/Renogy ONE M1/Renogy One Core?

No, these batteries connected in parallel need to be the same brand, same type, same voltage, and same capacity.
12.Before connecting the batteries in parallel, are there any principles to follow to make the battery pack charge and discharge balanced?
●The initial state of the batteries should be the same. It is generally recommended to fully charge the batteries separately. Put the batteries aside for half an hour until the difference in the open circuit voltage between the batteries is less than 0.1V. Then you can connect batteries in parallel. After 24 hours, you can connect the battery packs to the system.
●The time interval between the old and new batteries in parallel should not exceed six months
●It is recommended that the wiring cables between parallel batteries are wired according to the content of the battery product manual.
13.Does the battery automatically enter the shelf mode when it is not used for a long time?
No, the battery will not enter the Shelf Mode when it is not used for a long time.

15.I accidentally over-discharged the battery, resulting in the battery under-voltage protection. What kind of charger should I use to charge the battery?
●Remove all the wiring cables on the battery in time;
●Use the charger that matches the battery and has a lithium activation function to activate and charge the battery for more than 24 hours at the ambient temperature of above 41°F (below 131°F), and when the terminal voltage of the battery is restored to above 12.4V, then the battery will be charged normally.

The working conditions of the battery's self-heating function are shown below:
●The normal operation of the self-heating function requires a stable charge current greater than 6A for each battery in the parallel battery bank. The self-heating function will start operating automatically once the battery and the battery temperature drops below 41°F (5°C) and stop operating automatically once the battery temperature rises above 50°F (10°C). The temperature rise rate is approximately 46.4°F (8°C) per hour when running at full power of 85W (6A).
●We suggest a battery charger whose continuous output voltage is above 14V to ensure smooth operation for the battery to heat up. Renogy 12V 20A AC-DC LFP Battery Charger is recommended.
18.How do I store the battery?
Please follow the tips below to ensure that the battery emerges from storage in good condition:
●Charge the battery to 30%-50%.;
●Disconnect the battery from the system;
●Do not expose the battery to direct sunlight, moisture, or precipitation;
●Store the battery in a well-ventilated, dry, clean area with temperatures between -13℉-149℉(-25℃-65℃);
●Handle the battery carefully to avoid sharp impacts or extreme pressure on the battery housing;
●Charge the battery at least once every 3~6 months to prevent it from overdischarge;
●Fully charge the battery when it is taken out of storage.
